As I Lay Dying in Cardboard Robot

I can see how that may seem like a play on words, but it’s not, well sort of not…the band As I Lay Dying, is gearing up for a new album and guitarist Nick Hipa was spotted wearing the Central Services tee, one that he said he lost recently on tour, RIP.  These guys have always been huge supporters of the brand and we feel the same way about their music.  Here is the shot, (Nick is 2nd from the right)

In the new Young Money Video, “Bed Rock,” Gudda can be seen wearing the new Cardboard Robot PU “Axl Jacket,” an item that will be released later this year.  Most of you have probably already seen the video, but if not here it is with over 28 million views..

Alkaline Trio X CBR

Check out the latest issue of Amp Magazine in which Alkaline Trio graces the cover in Cardboard Robot’s “Minutes To Midnight Tee.”  The cover is a bit dark so it may be kind of hard to see but nonetheless Derek Grant is wearing one of our classics from last season.  Normally I would shoot you a link to buy that piece but unfortunately at the moment we are sold out of that item, but should be getting more in soon!

Alternative Press, “Go Green”

In the newest issue of Alternative Press, (March 2010) hosts 30 Seconds To Mars on the cover, they did a “going green,” section that featured our cardboard furniture, forever we have used the chairs made of Cardboard for tradeshows and promotional use, but as of next month you will be able to purchase your very own cardboard chair off of our website!  Here is the photo!

Sergio Pena for CBR

I went to NASCAR last weekend to show support for our new driver Sergio Pena from Revolution Racing.  Hung out in the pit and watched Sergio place second (even though he had the fastest lap time).  Watch for this up and coming driver.  He’s only 16 – can you imagine having to go to Geometry class Monday morning after that?  Special thanks from John Nutcher, Rob Dubar, and Mason Brown.  See you at the races!

Psycho Mike on the Red Carpet

We’ve done a few blogs on our good friend and KROQ radio personality “Psycho Mike,” (who also told me that you do not get to pick your own radio handle…just saying)  He has been working the red carpet at the Grammy’s all week, and he knows how big of a Slayer fan I am so yesterday he sent me this photo of himself in our CBR II tee with Kerry King.

Happy Birthday Rusko!

On Tuesday night I went to Deluxx in Hollywood for Rusko’s birthday, when I saw him at Avalon he mentioned he liked my Strapped Hood, so I put together a little birthday package for him.  He will be playing Coachella this April.   Here is a video of him at Avalon in November in front of 2,000 screaming fans courtesy of our good friend Glenjamn.

Fergie in Thugsta V-neck

Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas was spotted in the Cardboard Robot “Thugsta,” V-neck last week.  The Black Eyed Peas are up for a number of Grammy nominations this week including best album.  She was spotted in this piece shopping in LA.  The Grammy’s take place in Downtown LA this Sunday at 5pm on CBS.
